About us
A safe, welcoming start for your child
The Crayon Box opened in 2025 in Latlurcan, Co. Monaghan. It’s a modern, purpose-built setting where we look after babies, toddlers, preschoolers and school-aged children.
Each room is set up for the age group that uses it, so the space feels right whether a child is having a nap, learning their first words or finishing homework. What we want is simple: somewhere local families can trust, where their child feels happy and settled every day.

Preschool & ECCE
3 to 5 years
Play-based preschool rooms where children make friends and build the confidence they’ll take to school. We offer places under the free ECCE pre-school programme.
After-School Care
5 to 12 years
Somewhere relaxed and supervised for after the school bell: a snack, a hand with homework, and time to unwind. It gives working parents cover they can count on.
Summer Camps
5 to 12 years
Holiday camps that keep school-age children busy and happy, with games, crafts and lots of time outdoors.
Full-Day Care
Flexible hours
A full day of care for families who need longer hours, following a steady routine of play, meals, rest and learning in one safe place.
Part-Time Care
Flexible days
Part-time places for families who only need a few sessions or days a week, arranged to fit around your routine.

We accept the National Childcare Scheme (NCS)
We accept the National Childcare Scheme, which helps eligible families with the cost of childcare. Get in touch and we can talk through availability and how the NCS might apply to you.
